RIP RASHIDI YEKINI !!!!!!!!

Rashidi Yekini was one of the best football players we ever had in Nigeria, he passed away on Friday in Ibadan after suffering from mental illness for the past two years.


He passed away at the age of 48 and was an ex-striker for the Super Eagles. He was an all-time record goalscorer after scoring 37 times in 58 matches and was famously remembered for his iconic goal celebration after netting Nigeria's first ever World Cup goal against Bulgaria in 1994.

He would be missed, remembered meeting him 9 years ago at Liberty stadium during a training session, he was a fit and nice guy. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen
